Of course, even more so in recent years than in general, "aghast" is another word for "awake."<BR/><BR/>I will confess that if I'd been paying closer attention to the post count, I probably wouldn't have posted the one I did as numer 500. First, Mike started the blog, so really he should've been the one to post. (Sorry, Mike!) Second, it's kind of a downer that post #500 is a YouTube retina-scractcher with a Simpsons joke in the title. On the other hand, when some future grad student at Lunar U. gets a grant to telecommute to the Google servers, the very banal lameness of my post--and the even more banal horror that it documents--will allow her to make comments about "anticlimactic monumentality" or "the weary evisceration of what previous generations understood as 'originality'."Jon E.https://www.blogger.com/profile/07879175378866305992noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7555502.post-28844874308522998472007-04-22T09:34:00.000-07:002007-04-22T09:34:00.000-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Jon E.https://www.blogger.com/profile/07879175378866305992noreply@blogger.com
